Do People Really Care About the Size of Your Laptop?

The question in notebook computers has become, “Does size and weight really matter or is it more important to have a powerful workhorse computer that allows you to fit all your software and save as many projects as possible on your productivity machine?” Another point of concern may be whether the small sizes are more useful or if the light-weight portability is the chief concern. I think the accessibility of different types of laptops today lets us truly personalize our computers into something that works for everyone and doesn’t have to be typical for us all.

The production release of the cutting edge macbookair by Apple has really given us options with the size and weight and what kind of laptop computer we take around with us when traveling. At less than 3 pounds and less than an inch thick, we don’t have to get a workout every time we walk to work. It has a 13 inch display and a normal keyboard. Why wouldn’t I be interested? This is the very quality I have been seeking.

When I first witnessed the advert for the MacBook Air with a slim, easy to transport laptop coming out of that little envelope, small envelope, I was just in awe. Now, that’s the choice I’ve been hunting for. Now it doesn’t have to be an act of God to take my laptop with me anymore! No extra bag that can weigh nearly as much as the laptop computer, no more heavy lifting, no longer taking up more room than my suitcase! What a relief!

The never ending question of whether size really matters is in front of us now and my answer, when it comes to a small laptop is a resounding, “yes, Yes, YES!” Size does matter and so does weight. For me and my laptop smaller is as good as it gets.
